Telluride’s Stephen Allen

Stephen Allen, age 24, has had epilepsy since he was 15.  On October 15th he leaves for a trip around the world — on his bicycle.  He estimates that it will take him two and one-half years before he returns to Telluride from the other direction.  Allen has been stricken with about 10-seizures over the years.  His intention is to promote the idea that people living with epilepsy can lead active lives.  He also hopes to raise money for epilepsy research.  Allen has a support group of friends and family that will monitor his travels and arrange for stops at hospitals and college towns to talk about epilepsy.  For more about Allen and his ride visit http://seizetheworld.com .
