Snowmass Wind Tower

A wind tower was erected at the top of the Snowmass Ski Area recently to evaluate whether electricity generating wind turbines are feasible.  Data will be collected over the next year and evalutated.  If feasible, it is estimated that wind turbines could provide two-thirds to 100-percent of the electric power requirements of the Aspen Ski Company.  Go Green!
