To the delight of everyone in Crested Butte, August 2008 sales tax revenues were up over August 2007.  Given the financial turmoil that we read in our daily newspapers, this is indeed good news.  As with each of the ski resort communitities, Crested Butte is awaiting the arrival of the ski season and increased economic activity.
