Located on 76-acres in the Downtown Denver Ballpark neighborhood, the Coors Field baseball stadium was completed in 1995. In 2002, the Denver City Council created the Ballpark Historic District covering 20-blocks around the stadium. Very right idea.
Historically, this was an industrial area of Denver filled with storehouses and factories near the railroad tracks. Real estate developers saw an opportunity to extend the success that LoDo that was experienced beginning in the late 1980’s. These old buildings, many historic, began to be converted into residential lofts and businesses.
Ballpark retains its gritty city urban feeling. This is not a tree-lined-streets neighborhood. While you will not find that many sidewalks, you will still find the occasional railcar loading dock or truck ramp. You will find the original business sign paint fading on the red brick buildings.

North Larimer Street is lined with brew pubs, ethnic restaurants, funky coffee houses, jazz clubs, and more. The Ballpark Market is held monthly April to October with over 100-merchants.
The Ballpark Urban Village neighborhood is a fun place to live with quick access to Downtown, LoDo, and Riverfront Park. If you are a Colorado Rockies fan, it is heaven.
