Copper Mountain - Summit County’s Largest Resort

The Copper Mountain Ski Resort is easily identified as you approach it on Interstate-70.  It was Judge Wheeler in the mid-1880’s that first named the mining settlement at the junction of the Ten Mile and Gore mountain ranges.  He simply called it Wheeler Junction.  Remains of these early mining camps can still be found in [...]
