Congress Park is an old residential neighborhood with the first residential subdivision dating back to 1887.  Already by 1909, many of the streets were laid-out and many homes built.   By 1930, much of Congress Park was fully developed with Victorians, Queen Annes, Denver Squares, walk-up apartment buildings, and a few mansions.  Street-lined streets provide the feel of old-world-charm only a short distance from downtown.  On the western edge of Congress Park, you will find the Denver Botanic Gardens with year-around activities including a summer music series.
