Copper Mountain - Summit County’s Largest Resort

The Copper Mountain Ski Resort is easily identified as you approach it on Interstate-70. It was Judge Wheeler in the mid-1880’s that first named the mining settlement at the junction of the Ten Mile and Gore mountain ranges. He simply called it Wheeler Junction.
